Involvement Plan
Teacher Involvement:
It is the teacher’s responsibility to assess students based on local and state standards. Using these assessments, data will be attained and collected for each student individually, and often whole class. From this data the teacher can understand where students are, where they need improvement in their individual learning process, and whole class information as well.
o After collecting data, teachers are responsible for:
o Collaborating with students: using data to work on opportunities to enhance academic success
o Finding patterns in student learning
o Organizing the data in various ways such as: charts, tables, graphs, or any way that clearly communicates information.
o Conducting analysis strategies that will allow for accurate data information
o Creating actions plans from the data that they have collected
o Communicating the data in a timely, effective manner to all stakeholders (collaborating teachers, students, parents/guardians, administrators, state)
Student Involvement:
Communication Plan
Data needs to be communicated effectively to all stakeholders: students, parents, PLC teams, administrators, the state, universities, and researchers.
o Each stakeholder has different purposes for the data. As the data is communicated it is up to the teacher to decide a chain of command as to who is most important to communicate data to, always keeping in mind the well-being, and learning of their students first and foremost. The communication of students’ data will only be used to reflect how students can progress in their learning.
o Communication will be done in various ways ranging from:
o Parent-teacher conferences
o Report cards
o Charts
o Graphs
o Tables
o Examples of student work
o Newsletters
o Emails
o School Websites
o Sample Surveys
Timeliness Plan
Data is only effective if used intentionally and on time. Data that is collected be never used or implemented is ineffective and a waste of time. Being intentional with the timeliness in which I record, collect, and analyze data shows professionalism, promptness and intentionality. The following examples are ways in which I will be effective with time management in regards to the data that will be collected and used in my classroom:
• When data is recorded in an efficient matter, it not only shows promptness and intentionality from the teacher but it makes creating an action plan more efficient and productive. If there is too much time in between the action plan becomes less effective.
• Data needs to be recorded in a timely matter. The goal for recording data will be on a daily basis.
• For major assessments that are given in class the goal for recording, collecting, and analyzing data will be within one week.
• For smaller, more minor assessments, the goal for recording, collecting, and analyzing data will be within 2-3 days.

- It is the student’s responsibility to use the information from the data to progress their academic growth. Students will be given the chance to access their data on a regular basis, being given the opportunity use this information to enhance learning in any way possible.
- The students will also be responsible for collaborating with the teacher on proper use of the data to help understand areas of success as well as improvement.
